Receiving Officer
ProcurementJob Reference#19c5b71b-087b-4d4f-b117-a6f47f446cc1The Receiving Officer is responsible for inspecting, verifying and recording incoming goods and materials in alignment with company purchasing policies and quality standards. This role ensures that all received items match purchase orders and invoices, handles discrepancies, and coordinates with supplier and internal departments to maintain an efficient supply chain.
Responsibilities- Verify that all items are received as per the Purchase Orders/ Market list and duty stamped as received and notify Departments concerned
- Verify items received for quantity, price and quality and notify discrepancies to the supplier/ purchasing department
- Maintain logbook for items received and partial delivery items
- Follow up with the Purchasing Department for all outstanding purchase orders.
- Post all goods receiving notes (GRN) returns , etc. to the system
- Balance the receiving report every month and with payable supervisor
- Ensure all received goods are accurately verified against purchase orders and supplier documentation
- Maintain accurate and up -to - date records of all deliveries, discrepancies and returns
- Diploma or equivalent and more than 1 year of experience in this field
- Knowledge of inventory management system, procurement processes, and warehouse operations
- Experience in goofs, receiving or storekeeping in the Hotel Industry (preferable)
- Ability to verify shipments accurately and identify discrepancies
- Strong ability to liaise with suppliers, delivery personnel and internal departments
- Efficiently handle multiple deliveries while maintaining accurate records
- Capability to handle, lift and move shipments when necessary
- Excellent Microsoft skills
